Derbyshire announce support for England and ECB in T20 tournament

As of late, Somerset, Sussex, Leicestershire and Yorkshire have all affirmed they are supporting the new competition, planned to start in 2020, while just Middlesex have so far emerged as an opponent of. The ECB requires a three-quarter larger part of all its 41 individuals - including the 18 five star areas, MCC, the Minor Counties Association and the 21 non-five-star districts - to change their constitution which as of now forbids any opposition from continuing without every one of the 18 tops of the line provinces. The ECB have the required votes which imply an eight-group T20 local competition will start in four years time.
Derbyshire Chairman Ian Morgan stated: "The Supervisory Board has collectively bolstered the change to the ECB Articles of Association to prepare for another Twenty20 competition.
