Pune Test: Historical win by 333-runs team Australia's

Steve O'Keefe Spins takes Australia win by 333-runs which was a historic triumph over india.

Australia set the target of 441-runs, riding on skipper Steve Smith's batting masterclass on a rank turner, and then skittled out the hapless hosts for a paltry 107 in 33.5 overs to take a 1-0 lead in the four-match series.

eft-arm spinner Steve O'Keefe today grabbed a sensational match-haul of 12 wickets as a sloppy India slumped to a humiliating 333-run defeat inside three days in the first cricket Test against Australia here.

steve O'Keefe

Australia set a daunting target of 441, riding on skipper Steve Smith's batting masterclass on a rank turner, and then skittled out the hapless hosts for a paltry 107 in 33.5 overs to take a 1-0 lead in the four-match series.

The embarrassing defeat also ended India's unbeaten streak of 19 Tests with the last defeat coming against England at Kolkata in late 2012.

The 32-year-old O'Keefe did the star turn once again with identical figures of 6/35 in both innings as India failed to even cross 110 in both innings.

It was a total disaster for the World No.1 Test team, who were simply outclassed in all departments of the game and they further compounded their miseries with atrocious shot selection, shoddy fielding and poor referrals.

Skipper Virat Kohli had a rare bad Test match where he had scores 0 and 13 in both innings of the game. India collectively posted their lowest aggregate for a home Test match and ended up suffering their second biggest defeat at home in terms of runs.

Kohli was out in the second innings shouldering arms to an angled delivery from O'Keefe which dashed India's minuscule hopes of a miraculous comeback.

As many as six Indian batsmen failed to reach double figures with only Cheteshwar Pujara showing some stomach for fight with a score of 31.

After Smith's superb 109 -- his 18th Test ton on a spiteful pitch --, there was no comeback for India as both openers KL Rahul and Murali Vijay made a mess of DRS when it was the umpire's call.

The Indian batsmen, similar to the first innings, had no clue on how to tackle 32-year-old O'Keefe, who had his finest hour in international cricket.

Neither could they properly negotiate wily Nathan Lyon (4/53) as both made life miserable for the Indian batsmen.

In fact, the Aussie spinners showed how to bowl on a turner something that was lacking in Ravichandran Ashwin (match figures of 7/182), Ravindra Jadeja (match haul of 5/139) and Jayant Yadav (2/101).

After the 7/11 debacle in the first innings, the second innings saw India lose 6 for 8.

blind-T20-world-cup

India chased down the target of 198 in only 17.4 overs and lift the T20 world cup.

Prakasha Jayaramaiah's scored 99 runs unbeaten helped India beat Pakistan by a staggering nine-wicket margin to defend their T20 Blind Cricket World Cup title, in Bangalore on Sunday (February 11).

India made it to the final with eight victories in nine games, losing only to Pakistan in the group stages at Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi. Pakistan, on the other hand, were unbeaten throughout.

Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Pakistan scored 197 for 9 where Badar Munir's scored half-century.
Munir laid the platform with a 58-run partnership with his fellow opener Muhammad Jamil (24) and Amir Ishfaq (20) for the third wicket stand, worth 60 runs, that took their side to 118 for 1 in the 11th over.

ndia faced little difficulty in overcoming the target, courtesy an aggressive 99 from opener Jayaramaiah. Ajay Kumar Reddy, at the other end, chipped in with a 31-ball 43 before being run out in the 11th over when they were still 88 shy of the target.

Jayaramaiah carried on and put on a 51-run partnership with Ketan that all but sealed the fate of the game. By the time the No. 3 batsman retired hurt on 26, India needed another 37 off 32. The wicketkeeper-batsman, who found the fence 15 times in his 60-ball effort, was left stranded one short of a what would have been a memorable ton as the hosts overhauled the target with 14 balls to spare.

Eighteen years ago on this day Indian spin legend Anil Kumble make a historical record as he emulated English off-spinner Jim Laker by picking all 10 wickets in an innings of a Test match.

The Current team India coach took 10/74 in 26.3 overs to hand india a remarkable 212 runs victory against Pakistan At Kotla on February 7 , 1999.

For achieving a perfect ten wickets its very hard but impossible as Anil kumble did it. And this is what we called destiny
Chasing 420 with almost two days left, Pakistan got a good start with Shahid Afridi and Saeed Anwar before Kumble broke the dangerous opening partnership by getting Afridi.
At that moment Kumble felt that breaking the partnership was the key to his record

There was something that told us that it was a matter of taking one wicket. When a new batsman would find it very difficult to get going on that strip, and we sensed that one would put the cat among the pigeons,"He recalled in his interview to bcci.tv".

Pakistan had got a good start by Shahid Afridi and Saeed Anwar but the rest of the nine wicket of pakistan batting line collapsed like nine pins and that history was written.
